SUNDAY'S FORCAST:
GREAT WEATHER
We're Open For His
Business

Weather on Sunday: GOOD
Because the Pastor was raised in Cleveland, church will open for
business on Sunday. But he advises the elderly not to venture out in
bad weather conditions. For everyone else, the weather is going to be
perfectly fine, and we are going to rock the house for Jesus this
Sunday.

Ceramic Cups.
Thanks to all who
responded to the Ceramic Cup survey. We had a chance to purchase
some really cool mugs at the cheapest prices we've ever seen. But
the survey did not produce enough interest to make this a worthwhile
venture.
CCN Survey.
Please, let us
know what you think about CCN Learning Opportunities. This will
help us to build our calendar of events for the year. And we'd like
to know what you think might help you in your Christian walk. If
you haven't completed the survey yet - please help us and click on

Finances are Down by THOUSANDS$$$$.
This
Sunday you'll read in the bulletin about a few churches who have
suffered GREATLY financially. Salem's finances are down right now
too, but not like some places whose deficit is bigger than our
annual budget. Never-the-less, we are continuing to practice wise
Good Sense stewardship principles. We have a really awesome
finance team at Salem. You can read more about this in the bulletin
and in your quarterly financial reports (handed out in church).
As a
temporary measure, we are going to reduce utilities cost by
illuminating meetings that require the use of the upstairs section
of the church (Monday Prayer will now be in the church office -
located in downstairs in the brick building, Wednesday Evening
Prayer, and Saturday morning Praise and Worship practices).

NEW
SECRET Prayer Meetings shhhhhh!
We may not be meeting
formally at the church for prayer. But we're thinking of opening some
other prayer opportunities through either the internet, conference
calling, emails, text messaging, or just good ole' fashioned pieces of
paper.
We'll be sending out a
survey on that pretty soon, to check on your level of interest in
praying with other believers for the church to be a significant force in
the world today. We have been encouraged to make a serious effort to
activate prayer amongst church members (not just because of Haiti or
finances). I'm in agreement with the challenge, and would like to open
up whatever it is that could help more people to make "knee time" for
Jesus. All the greatest miracles and changes have been the result of
"concerts of prayer" by the body of Christ? Wanna see some neat stuff
happen?!!! Be thinking about how you might become more involved in this
prayer movement. Watch for the next "prayer" survey!
