Text Box: Survey One Results The Uniqueness of Salem Here are the results from the first survey, we had lots of people respond.  A third of them be relatively new to the church, and the remainder having attended for three or more years.  The following information is in summary form... When people think about Salem, what images come to mind? Comfort, love, friendship, spiritual, honest, real, enjoy, laid back, less structure, out of the box, contemporary, on target, music, energetic message, seating arrangements, inspiring, connection, 4th of July parade/outreach, our sign out front, small community Church, different, small groups, supportive, Old Church by the Cemetery/Historic building, helpful, real life messages/sermons.   What do you think people, who have never been to Salem, think about us? Different, The same as other churches, A small Church by the Cemetery, Old Methodist Church (Traditional), Thought provoking sign by a thought provoking Pastor, Don’t know what others think of Salem, County Church with a City grown up around it, We’re involved in the community, stuffy, friendly, giving, unique, great float, we serve the community, caring, we have a lot of praise, Old Grey beards, great music, people are curious because of our sign, loud rock and roll music, historical.   What unique promise does Salem offer to people? God’s word, friendly people, relaxing, good music, live in Christ, coffee, accepting, opportunity to serve, spiritual growth/relationship with Jesus, learn God’s word and our purpose, relationships, fellowship/community, hope, fun, grace, encouragement, genuine faith and worship, love, concern, unique, a challenge, small groups, faith family.   What one word or phrase describes Salem?  What comes to mind when you think of Salem Community Church?  Fun, Jesus seekers/Christ centered, great messages/music, non traditional, comfortable, unique, come as you are/acceptance, Christian community, fellowship, involved, small groups, service, alive, driven, family, support, caring, love, real, friendly, no perfect Christians, better because of Salem, a cool Church, like coming home, happiness, God’s love, bible believing, spontaneous.
